Whether you have prior NMU credit or are transferring college-level credit from a different institution (or many for that matter), you can receive an unofficial degree evaluation from the NMU Global Campus before you even apply.

You’ll receive an estimate of how many credits remain to complete your degree and how much time it’s likely to take – key information so you can move forward confidently toward reaching your goal.

We know that reviewing prior credits will help you to better see your path to degree completion, and we have the expertise to to accurately create a plan of attack. All you need to do is provide unofficial transcripts through our submission form. We will review, course-by-course, how your previous college credits line up in the online curriculum you intend to pursue. You’ll receive an estimate of how many credits remain to complete your degree and how much time it’s likely to take – key information so you can move forward confidently toward reaching your goal. 

We’ll collect the basic in formation from you (name, email intended major, etc.) and allow you to attache up to six unofficial transcripts for review. If you’ve only ever attempted or completed credit with NMU in the past, we have your record on file and you don’t need to submit transcripts.

This service is available to future Global Campus (online learning) students. You can expect results of your unofficial evaluation within two business days. During peak seasons, the timeline can be longer but we’ll keep you in the loop so you know what to expect. You’ll receive an email with an outline of what likely remains for you to complete your degree online with NMU and we’ll set up a phone call to walk you through the results.
