How much does it cost to earn a BS in Construction Management at NMU?
Total tuition costs can vary depending on a student’s level of experience. NMU offers up to 9 credits of Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) via competency testing. There are other opportunities for PLA based on the students learning experiences.
Construction Management students are also required to rent a laptop from NMU for many of the courses. These laptops are specially prepared for students with the software programs they will need in their courses.

Online BS in Construction Management Admission Requirements
Are you ready to level-up your construction career? Construction professionals with 7 years of industry experience and the drive to succeed in a competitive industry can earn their online degree with a program that is set up for your success.
Beyond the standard application for admission, the construction management bachelor’s degree requires:
- Completion of a supplemental application
- 7 years (post-high school) of documented construction industry experience (or equivalent)
- Three professional referrals
*Credits for prior experience are awarded based on the satisfactory completion of prior learning assessments, which are administered after admission to the program.
Construction Management Curriculum
* Requires a “C” and a 2.25 GPA or better in all technical concentration courses.
** MA 115 is a prerequisite to CN 254 and will also count toward the general education requirement.
*** CN 252m is strongly encouraged for students who wish to pursue the 60 hours of pre-licensure training required to obtain a Michigan Builders License.
This major does not require a minor.
